The 4-0 Blue Streaks were down by as many as 11 points in the first quarter. "We took time-out, regrouped a little bit and got within two by the end of the quarter," reported coach Tim Leonard. "It was a seesaw, back-and-forth game the rest of the way." Ida outscored the Panthers 20-13 in the fourth quarter with Alyssa Lassey and Kloster hitting key free throws in the final minutes. Lassey had 16 points, Stephanie Horney added 10, Alexis Long scored 9 and freshman Cheyanne Horney had 4 steals. "Everybody contributed," Leonard said. "Alexis Long played her best game of the season, Nicole Farrell hit a couple of 3's and Cheyanne Horney did a great job. It was a nice win for us." Ida will face Stockbridge at 5 p.m. today for the tournament title.
