I don't think you can have a section called "Goofy or humorous Ida H.S. stories/memories" without any mention of Hartwick. You couldn't go to Ida in the 70's and not have a Tracy Hartwick story. Here's just one of mine.
It's 1977 my junior year, Warren S. is giving a demonstration speech on his motorcycle, Tracy let him bring the motorcycle into class. At the end of the speech, in the class room, Warren fires up the motorcycle, squeals his tires, and lays a patch and then rides out of the class, down the hall, out the doors, down the sidewalk and into the parking lot. I remember Mark Hubbard, in the class across the hall, hearing the commotion and coming out to see what was going on. Seeing that it was coming from Hartwicks class he just shook his head and went back in his class. The only thing Tracy seemed worried about was how to get the patch off the floor so that he wouldn't get in trouble with the janitors. What a trip!
I hope to hear a few more Hartwick stories, I know there out there.
