Bomb threat delays Ida

A bomb threat phoned in this afternoon delayed the transport of students at Ida Public Schools by about 15 minutes, officials said.
Buses were thoroughly searched before students were allowed back on board and driven home, said Supt. Marv D ick. The district received a phone call shortly after 3 p.m. stating there were bombs on two buses.
Students already had boarded and were waiting to depart when they were removed for the search. Nothing unusual was found.
Mr. D ick said the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating and the culprit will face criminal charges.
