The Blue Streaks still weren't done when they faced a five-point deficit with 15 seconds left. Somehow they found a way to pull out a 65-64 victory over Lenawee Christian on Jared Locke's three-point play with 0.6 seconds remaining. "The kids just believe," said Ida coach Mike Albring. "They just hustled." Nic Jobe hit a 3-point basket with 15 seconds left to cut the Cougars' lead to 64-62. Ida was forced to foul and Lenawee Christian missed the front end of one-and-one with 10 seconds remaining. Jobe grabbed the rebound, drove the length of the court and fed Locke, who scored and was fouled on a driving layup. Jobe had a huge night with 22 points, 14 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 blocked shots. Locke continue his great play of late with 18 points and Tyler Donahoe scored 12 as the Streaks improved to 5-0. "Jared had really stepped up for us since we lost Matt Grodi with a broken hand," Albring said. "That's the special part about all these kids. They just believe in themselves. "Lenawee Christian is an excellent basketball team in that gym. If I were to guess, I would say they've lost maybe five times there in the last 10 years. This is the first time we've beaten them in my four years." Ida also won the junior varsity game 57-52. Caleb Matthes and Ronny Thomas scored 13 points.
